FABRIC CARE
Many of our products are embroidered and therefore fragile in their usage. They may be hand embroidered or machine embroidered or in combination of both hand embroidery & machine embroidery. These fabrics should be handled with care.
Please ensure that the first wash is 'Dry Clean' only, Heavy Embroidered products can only be Dry Cleaned.
Please note that due to hand dyeing methods used the colors are not guaranteed. We cannot be liable for any damage to your garments.
Any displacements to sequin beading or embroidery cannot be deemed to be a defect in the fabric but is caused by the very nature of the work.
SILK
The products of this fabric need to be professionally dry cleaned only. It can be given for petrol wash too. Do not hand wash or machine wash strictly. Do not use any soaps or detergents for this product. Like all fibers, silk is prone to fading and discoloration.
In case you need to wash the garment and cannot avoid the situation then Hand-wash silk items in lukewarm water with mild detergent. Rinse well, squeeze out surplus moisture by rolling in a towel and hang to dry. Never soak, boil, bleach or wring Silk or leave it crumpled in a towel. We do not undertake any guarantee of the color, cloth or zari. Tirumala Designers always suggest Dry Cleaning Silk.
COTTON
The products of this fabric can be easily laundered. Cotton fibers are strong in comparison to other fabric and hence the garments made from this fabric do not easily wear out. Cotton fabric must be treated with starch in order retain the shine and color and to keep it wrinkle free. Do not expose the garment to hot sun. do not hang them, instead keep them folded.
Dry cleaning would be enough for garments made out of cotton fabric, petrol wash isn’t necessary. Cotton can be ironed using a normal irons or steam irons.
CHIFFON/GEORGETTE/CREPE
Garments made from this fabric must not be machine washed at all. Dry cleaning is most preferred or else a gentle hand wash under necessary circumstances. Do not twist or wring dry the fabric. Avoid hanging the garments for a long time as they tend to lose their shape.
SATIN
It is known for its smoothness and shine. The products of this fabric need to be professionally dry cleaned only. Tirumala Designers always suggest Dry Cleaning Satin.
SPANDEX AND LYCRA
Hand wash or gentle machine wash in lukewarm water. Do not chlorine bleach, use only non-chlorine on garments that contain spandex. Dry at low temperatures and iron quickly at low temperature.
LINEN
Use a gentle wash cycle and avoid using bleach to protect linens. White linens should be dried in sun to help them keep their whiteness. Linen creases easily and that’s why it needs firm pressing when ironed, or it can be dry cleaned.
DRY CLEANING TECHNIQUE FOR HOME WASH
The following tip is for the clothes, which has very fast colours. It is not for Woollens, Tissues and Garments, which do not have very fast colours. While using the following method you can be rest assured that the fast colours does not come on the fabric again. It prevents the colour of the garment to mix up.
The following measurements are for approximately five meter cloth e.g. one saree, two shirts or one salwar suit or 5-6 blouses or their combinations.
First Wash 2lts water
1 teaspoon soap (Genteel, Ezee, Key,etc)
1.5 tablespoon Acetic Acid
Mix soap in water and then Acetic Acid. Soak the garment for 3-4 min moving up and down. Do not use brush. Dirty parts like collars or falls may be rubbed with white old socks or any old cloth. Gently squeeze out excess water.
Second Wash 2 lts water
1 tablespoon Acetic Acid
Mix Acetic Acid in water. Soak the garment for 3-4 min moving up and down and squeeze excess water.
Third Wash – Same as second wash.

STAIN REMOVAL TECHNIQUES
It is advisable to remove the stain as early as possible. It is difficult and sometimes impossible to remove the stain if it becomes old. Most of the stains become stubborn if washed in hot water. It is most advisable to seek professional help for removing stains from garments. However, the following tips may be used:
Talcum Powder Therapy – for most of the stains sprinkle talcum power immediately. Leave it for 10 minutes and wash.
Soap Paste Therapy – Wet the cloth and squeeze out excess water. Rub any laundry soap. Leave it for 10 minutes, rub gently and wash. Can repeat the same process for stubborn stains.
Tying the Cloth to remove Stain – Take only the stain affected area and tie with thread (like tie and dye process). Then dip the stained area in desired solution.
